What is an estate sale?
An estate sale, also known as a Tag Sale in some parts of the country, is a way of liquidating the belongings of a family, individual or estate. These are usually much more than garage or yard sales. They are typically facilitated by a professional company, organized as a public function; the purpose is to generate revenue and liquidate personal property for downsizing, moving, divorce, bankruptcy, or death, in most cases.
Is Property Yardsale an estate sale company?
No. Property Yardsale is an estate sale service offered by the Thrift Shop of Largo. In fact, they have multiple services, promoted with individual branding and purpose. They also offer The Antique Shop of Largo for antique appraisals and sales, Online Consignor for online consignment services, and Property Yardsale. What are your estate sale rates?
Property Yardsale offers several different packages to meet all of our clients individual needs. By utilizing customizable options we are able to separate ourselves from the competition, as well as serve our clients with our best ability. Whatever your circumstances are, Property Yardsale has an estate sale plan to suit your calendar, budget and future goals.
How do you price your items?
Property Yardsale conducts an appraisal of the entire inventory of an estate sale. Using both daily market experiences, as well as a proven appraisal system; we can generate the greatest amount of profits for our clients. We strongly believe in our unique comparative analysis program, which allows us to price items at “sellable” prices, not just create confusion and disappointment with outlandish projections just to earn your business. How long does your estate sale process take?
The estate sale process takes 3-4 weeks, while the sale itself runs 1-3 days. Weeks prior to the sale, Property Yardsale is creating an inventory log, conducting our comparative market analysis and appraisals, establishing an assertive marketing campaign, arranging the sale equipment, staging the items and working with the public through database buyers, social media and relevant groups locally. The dates, times and duration are negotiated with the seller to accomplish their specific sales goals.
How do you advertise the estate sale?
Property Yardsale facilitates a full marketing campaign, utilizing the large database of buyer’s that we generate from the Thrift Shop of Largo. In addition, we launch an assertive social media campaign, postings on all local, relevant websites, and any proven resale app or website out in the market place. We also provide print media in the local papers and have even posted specialized ads for luxury items. We provide all our own equipment, and this makes the sales process easier for our clients; in fact, we provide merchant processing for debit, credit and gift cards, which ultimately provides more profits to our clients. Is it easier to sell the items before selling the house?

Do you list items for sale like real estate?
No. Items are not listed for sale with Property Yardsale. They are contracted with Property Yardsale as an exclusive sales opportunity for the duration of the sale. Online Consignor offers listing agreements for our online consignment program.
What happens to the inventory that doesn’t sell?
The items that were not purchased at the estate sale must be disposed of or moved somewhere. Right? We can easily put our arrangement in the contract to save any confusion. We have many channels to handle the influx of inventory, and can offer online consignment, disposal, multiple sales or leave the clean-up to the seller. What is in the estate sale contract?
An agreement between the client and the estate sale company. It will clearly indicate the terms, rates, process and responsibilities of each party involved. For example, if the seller is responsible for removal of certain items prior to the sale, or if the estate sale provider is responsible for removal of items after the sale.
